Our client, located in Abbotsford, BC is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their existing Finance team.  Are you interested in gaining experience in a complex environment? Do you have a background in integration, and working with other departments?

Ideally, you are a new CPA with a passion for accounting and are looking for a company that will include you in all of their financial goals including; year-end financials, working papers, documentation, and US state sales taxes., to name a few.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
1. Recording month-end invoices and sales summary
2. Ensuring 2-month customer billing is complete
3. Ensure that all payments are made prior to shipping
4. Work closely with the shipping department to ensure that orders can be delivered
5. Follow up with customers on any outstanding payments
6. Maintain aged AR summary
7. Monthly reconciliations of AR
8. Recording payments
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
1. Entering invoices
2. Entering invoices against purchase orders
3. Reconciliation of payables clearing report
4. Recording of vendor payments
5. Matching of purchase orders, receiving, and invoices
6. Installation tracker updating and ensure that installation accruals are accurate
7. Glass prepaid tracker maintain and update
MONTH END JOURNAL ENTRIES AND CLOSE
1. Assist with the preparation of month-end journal entries
2. Assist with analyzing month-end income statements for variance analysis and missing entries.
3. Assist with Reconciliation of income statement and balance sheet accounts, especially at year-end
INVENTORY
1. Entering monthly count sheets in merge and perpetual inventories
2. Updating the monthly merge and perpetual inventories
3. Analyze and follow up with discrepancies in inventory
4. Assist with quarterly counts, and planning year-end counts in preparation for external
accountants’ year-end work

MONTHLY TAX INSTALLMENTS, PST, GST, AND STATE TAX RETURNS
1. Record monthly tax installments
2. Remit and record monthly GST, PST, and QST
3. Eventually learn monthly US state sales taxes
