Our client based in the city of Abbotsford is looking to add to their Maintenance team. You will be responsible to troubleshoot all production and utility equipment and install and train on all new equipment.
This role is a permanent full-time position with access to benefits after a 3-month probationary period is completed. Hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00-3:30. The hourly rate range is $21-$24, based on experience. Job is available immediately.
Duties will include;
Collects and maintains equipment data and records valve test results.
Carries out minor adjustments, repairs and replacement on equipment drives, belts, valves, packing, gaskets, etc.
Change filters, oil, dust collector bags, etc.
Adjust and optimize equipment performance
Weld mild and stainless steels and fabricate parts
Interact with suppliers to source spare parts and maintenance supplies
Follow preventative maintenance schedule, perform equipment inspections
Skills and Requirements;
A minimum of two years’ experience in repair, maintenance of equipment, or equivalent relevant experience.
Knowledge of compressed air, vacuum pumps equipment
Forklift certification or experience preferred
Ability to work shift work as required.
Team player with an ability to work well with others
Must have strong attention to detail
Works well under time restraints
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize for efficiency
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to use judgment and work independently
Ability to maintain a clean work environment
Must be literate in basic computer skills
