Pre-employment Assessments: The Final Piece of the Puzzle

You have put a lot of time, money and human resources into finding candidates for your vacancy.  The reference checks went well and you are ready to make an offer.  STOP!  What have you found out about the candidate's personality and behaviour?  Is he/she moody or cheerful most of the time?  Motivated? The New Normal

We woke up to a new year where the job market belongs to candidates.  Not long ago, candidates were afraid to leave a job because another one might not be available.  Now, people have lots of choices, and recruiters need to ramp up their game when it comes to finding the best fit for a vacant position. Misunderstood Millennials

Our workplaces are a complex mix of ages, ethnicities, management styles and personal needs.  There are now 5 generations at work, each of them bringing their own values, skills and education to the job.  We have Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Gen Xers, Millennials (or GenY) and the youngest, not yet named generation that I think should be labelled "Generation Text".
